Crossfeed
Crossfeed is a small top-down space survivors-like. Your guns fire on their own. Your job is to steer, and to decide where your ship's limited power goes, moment to moment.
Weapons, Engines and Shields all draw from one reactor. Push power into Weapons to clear a crowd, into Engines to break out of a closing ring, into Shields to tank a hit you can't dodge. Every bar you add to one system comes out of another. Leave a bar free for a moment and it charges an Overcharge: a short burst past a system's limit.
How a run goes
- Survive a 4-minute wave of enemies (chasers, gunners, dashing lancers and heavy brutes), then destroy the carrier.
- Do it three times (three Threats, each one harder) to win.
- Collect experience, level up, pick 1 of 3 upgrades: missiles, an arc emitter that chains between enemies, a shield pulse that hits back when your shields block, an afterburner that leaves burning flames behind you, more reactor power and more.
- A full run takes about 15 minutes. Short tips during your first runs show you the controls as you need them.
Controls (keyboard)
- W thrust, A / D turn (press C to switch to point-to-steer)
- Arrow keys move power: ← Weapons, ↑ Engines, → Shields, ↓ frees a bar
- Overcharge: free bars fill the meter under FREE. When it glows, press the key of a system that's already full to push it one bar past its max for a few seconds.
- Pick upgrades with the arrow keys, 1 / 2 / 3, or a click
- Esc / P pause, N sound, B music
Phones and tablets: play in landscape. Drag anywhere to steer; the four on-screen buttons move power (▼ frees a bar).
